Medical Director

Job Summary

The Medical Director is responsible for providing clinical leadership and oversight of medical services across the hospital. The role ensures high standards of patient care, clinical governance, physician performance, patient safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting the hospital’s strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversee the quality and performance of medical services across the hospital
• Lead medical staff governance, physician performance, credentialing, and clinical quality improvement activities
• Monitor clinical outcomes, patient safety indicators, and adherence to evidence-based clinical standards
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, department heads, nursing, and other teams to improve clinical and operational performance
• Ensure medical services comply with hospital policies, accreditation standards, ethical requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Valid SCFHS professional classification and registration
• Minimum 10 years of clinical experience, including medical leadership or management responsibilities
• Strong experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety, and physician management
• Healthcare or hospital leadership experience is required
