Job description

Planning Specialist

Posted On: Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 Description* performance Analysis & Reporting:

+ Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare performance data to assess organizational effectiveness.
+ Develop and present regular performance reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and benchmarks to leadership.
+ Identify areas for improvement and provide data\-driven recommendations to enhance efficiency, patient care, and operational performance.
  • Strategic Planning & Implementation:

    • Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to develop strategic goals and initiatives.
    • Assist in the creation of long-term planning documents, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and goals.
    • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of action plans to meet performance targets.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvement initiatives based on performance analysis.
    • Conduct root cause analyses of operational challenges and propose solutions to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
    • Utilize lean methodology, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks to drive organizational changes.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance:

    • Monitor the effectiveness of performance improvement strategies and ensure they align with healthcare quality metrics.
    • Facilitate performance audits and assist in preparing for external reviews and assessments.
  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., department heads, staff, clinicians) to communicate performance objectives, progress, and results.
    • Provide training and support to teams on performance management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
    • Serve as a point of contact for performance-related inquiries and provide guidance on achieving goals.

Requirements* Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
+ Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • At least 3-5 years of experience in healthcare management, performance improvement, or strategic planning.
    • Demonstrated experience in analyzing healthcare data, identifying trends, and implementing performance improvement initiatives.
    • Familiarity with healthcare accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
