Job description
Location: Hybrid (based in the Netherlands required)
Commitment: 3–5 hours per week
AI4ALL is looking for an organised and people-driven Youth Program Manager to work on our outreach to schools and youth organisations focusing on youth ages 16-26 across the Netherlands. We are bringing responsible AI education to youth through empowerment, education, mentorship, and community building. In this role, you will build partnerships with schools and local companies, design and deliver workshops for teens, help with matching mentors and mentees, and keep students and families connected to AI4ALL's mission. This is a role for someone who enjoys working with younger people, knows how to get things done in the Dutch education landscape, and wants to help shape how the next generation understands AI.
About AI4ALL
AI4ALL is a nonprofit do-tank founded in the Netherlands in 2024.
We bridge the knowledge gap between society and AI by providing continuous education, building confidence, and amplifying diverse leadership. Through masterclasses, mentorship, community events, and flagship programs, we help people not only understand AI, but actively shape how it evolves — ensuring the technology develops responsibly and represents everyone.
About the Role
As Youth Program Manager, you will be the main person driving AI4ALL's presence in Dutch schools and youth communities. You will design and run workshops for youth aged 16–26, build relationships with teachers, schools, and local partners, and work with companies to bring real-world AI examples into the classroom. You will also support grant applications that fund AI education for all underserved youth — contributing directly to the long-term growth of the program. You will also work with our youth mentor process of matching the mentees to mentors and making sure the youth are keeping up with their events and meetings
You Will:
- Design and deliver AI workshops for teens, managing all logistics: venue, hosts, materials, speaker coordination, and day-of execution
- Build and maintain partnerships with Dutch schools, teachers, and youth organisations to expand our reach
- Collaborate with local companies and startups to bring real-world AI examples into the classroom through showcases and interactive demos
- Support grant applications that fund AI courses and educational programs for girls and underserved youth
- Keep students and families informed, engaged, and connected to AI4ALL's mission and upcoming opportunities
- Recruit, brief, and coordinate trainers, mentors, and volunteers delivering sessions
- Match mentees to mentors that meet their interest and areas of focus in AI
- Track engagement, collect feedback, and help improve the Youth program over time
Who You Are
You're someone who is motivated, organised, and passionate about responsible, inclusive AI.
You likely have:
- Experience planning and managing educational events or youth programs
- Familiarity with the Dutch school system — MBO, HAVO, or VWO contexts
- Fluency in both Dutch and English
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines at once
- A genuine enjoyment of working with teens and a commitment to inclusive education
- Confidence communicating with educators, partners, and volunteers
- A hands-on mindset that thrives in a flexible, mission-driven environment
Nice to Have
- An existing local network of teachers, university CS departments, or tech employers
- Basic familiarity with AI/ML concepts — enough to review curriculum, not to teach it
- Grant-writing or sponsor-reporting experience, especially useful as the program scales
If you don't tick every box but are excited about the role, we still encourage you to apply.
What's In It for You
- Play a core role in shaping AI education for the next generation in the Netherlands
- Build a strong portfolio in youth engagement, education program management, and tech-for-good
- Work with inspiring founders, educators, and innovators across the Dutch AI ecosystem
- Gain experience building a program from the ground up in a fast-growing nonprofit
- Join a warm, international volunteer team that values creativity, inclusion, and real-world impact
How We Work
The AI4ALL team meets twice per month online:
- Once as a full team (All Hands)
- Once with your program or department team
- Volunteers contribute approximately 3–5 hours per week.
