Compliance Specialist – MiFID / Crypto

We are looking for a Compliance Specialist to join an international fintech company developing a digital investment platform for customers across Europe.

In this role, you will join the Compliance team and support day-to-day compliance activities across the company’s MiFID and MiCA business . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to develop their expertise in financial regulation, fintech, and crypto.

What you will do

• Support the day-to-day compliance function across MiFID and MiCA activities.
• Assist with the implementation of MiFID II and IFR/IFD requirements in day-to-day operations.
• Support the maintenance of AML/CFT and transaction monitoring processes .
• Help translate regulatory requirements into internal processes and procedures.
• Assist with ongoing regulatory supervision and related compliance activities.
• Support compliance reviews of new products and features before launch.
• Assist with communication with regulatory authorities, including the AFM and DNB , and help prepare responses to regulatory requests.
• Monitor and help ensure that internal policies and procedures are followed in practice.
• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the company’s compliance framework.
• Identify potential compliance issues and escalate them to senior team members when necessary.
• Stay up to date with relevant regulatory developments and support their implementation.
• Collaborate closely with other internal teams.

What we are looking for

• 2+ years of experience in compliance, financial services, legal, risk, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of MiFID II and AML/CFT requirements .
• Interest in developing further expertise in financial regulation and compliance.
• Ability to understand regulatory requirements and support their implementation in day-to-day processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, and proactively contribute.
• Fluent Dutch and English , both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of, or interest in, MiCA and crypto-related regulation .
• Experience working in fintech, crypto, or another fast-moving regulated environment
