JUNIOR COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

How do you contribute to our journey?
As our Junior Communications Coordinator, you will contribute to the day-to-day communication activities of Foodvalley. You will be part of our Marketing Communication team and work closely with colleagues across the organization to help bring projects and events to life through effective communication. In this role, you will help ensure that our communication is clear, relevant, engaging and consistent across different channels and audiences. You will contribute to a wide range of communication activities, from digital channels and content creation to project support and communication materials. This is a hands-on role in which you will have the opportunity to develop your communication skills and gain experience across different communication channels, projects, tools and activities. As English is the working language within our organization, you will become part of an international and collaborative working environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage and further develop Foodvalley’s external communication channels, including LinkedIn and the website, while monitoring the performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with our external website partner, regarding the website and its further development.
- Work with communication tools such as email software, our CMS and Canva.
- Write, edit and format communication content and materials, including website content, event communication, newsletters and presentations for external audiences.
- Act as the Marketing & Communications point of contact within internal projects, coordinating communication activities and supporting colleagues in achieving project objectives.
What makes you the ideal person we are looking for?
Your capabilities:
- You are a strong communicator with a good eye for language, content and detail.
- You are proactive, hands-on and enjoy turning ideas into clear and effective communication materials.
- You are organised and able to manage different communication activities and channels.
- You have a strong eye for detail and ensure communication materials and presentations are accurate, consistent and professionally presented.
- You are curious, eager to learn and comfortable working with different communication tools and platforms.
Your background:
- You have a completed HBO or university degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience (+1 year) in a communication or marketing role is a strong advantage.
- You have a strong interest in communication and content creation.
- You have strong writing and communication skills in English and Dutch.
- You have experience working with Canva, a CMS and email marketing platforms.
- You have an interest in the food system and Foodvalley’s ambition to contribute to a more sustainable food system.
