Primavera Planning Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer – IT & ELV Systems to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating the execution of IT, ELV, and low-current systems across projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of project planning and progress monitoring, with practical experience in ELV/ICT systems, project schedules, resource planning, and coordination with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for IT, ELV, ICT, and low-current system works.
• Prepare project baseline programmes, work schedules, and detailed activity plans.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify delays or potential delays.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and other disciplines to ensure timely execution.
• Track manpower, materials, equipment, and resource requirements.
• Prepare progress updates and analyse planned vs. actual progress.
• Identify critical activities and monitor the project critical path.
• Assist in preparation of recovery programmes and mitigation plans for delayed activities.
• Coordinate procurement, material delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Monitor engineering, material submittals, approvals, inspections, and related activities.
• Prepare and update S-curves, progress charts, look-ahead schedules, and other planning reports.
• Maintain proper records of project schedules, progress data, and planning documentation.
• Support project management in identifying risks, constraints, and schedule-related issues.
• Attend project planning and coordination meetings and provide schedule-related updates.
• Ensure planning activities are aligned with project milestones and contractual requirements.

IT & ELV Systems Exposure

Experience with some or all of the following systems is preferred:

• Structured Cabling / Data & Voice
• Wi-Fi / Wireless Networks
• CCTV & Video Surveillance
• Access Control
• Public Address / Voice Evacuation
• SMATV / IPTV
• Intercom Systems
• Audio Visual Systems
• Building Management / Control Systems
• ICT / Network Infrastructure
• Security Systems
• Other ELV and low-current systems

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, IT, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in project planning, preferably within IT, ELV, ICT, or low-current systems.
• UAE or GCC project experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling and progress monitoring.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and project reporting.
• Ability to understand drawings, BOQs, project specifications, and method statements.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Good understanding of construction/project execution environments.

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
