Specialism Tax Products Delivery Group (TPDG)

Management Level Manager

Job Description & Summary We are an interdisciplinary team of AI engineers, domain experts and solution architects building intelligent systems for knowledge-intensive environments. We combine frontier models with deep domain expertise and enterprise data to tackle hard problems in reasoning, agentic systems, knowledge architectures and human–AI collaboration.

Our ambition goes beyond automation, we explore how AI can augment expertise, improve decisions and change how professional work gets done. We deliver enterprise AI platforms, reusable accelerators and proprietary IP to help organisations scale AI, advising on where it fits, how to implement it and what's production-ready today.

You will join a diverse, international team of AI, data, and subject matter specialists who work closely together, learn from each other, and bring ideas to market quickly. As a Senior Manager, you set the direction for engagements, take a leading role in client relationships, and help grow our AI and business transformation offering.

You work directly with senior stakeholders on AI and data strategies, define architectures and solution blueprints, and ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and adopted in practice. You also drive our innovation agenda and help build our market presence and pipeline.

Your Impact

You will work at the intersection of AI, complex domain problems and real-world systems, turning emerging technical possibilities into solutions that create measurable impact.

  • Identify problems worth solving. Understand complex legal, tax and corporate environments and determine where AI can fundamentally improve how work and decisions happen.

  • Shape the technical vision. Design intelligent systems across models, agents, knowledge, retrieval, enterprise integration and human interaction, making informed trade-offs across capability, cost, latency, security and reliability.

  • Build and test new concepts. Work with engineers and domain experts to rapidly prototype, evaluate and turn the strongest ideas into production-grade systems.

  • Create reusable IP. Turn what we learn into architectures, accelerators and capabilities that can scale across clients and domains.

  • Advise senior leaders. Translate complex technology into clear choices and help executives rethink how their organisations operate with AI.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, domain experts and consultants from ambiguous problem through to working solution.

  • Stay close to the frontier. Evaluate emerging research, models and technologies and determine what is genuinely useful, bringing the best ideas into our work.

Your Skill Set This role sits at the intersection of deep technical understanding, applied AI and advisory. You can move from first principles and emerging AI research to architecture and real-world implementation; and credibly challenge both engineers and senior business stakeholders.

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent exceptional experience.

  • 7+ years' experience building, architecting or leading sophisticated AI/data solutions in complex environments.

  • Deep understanding of LLMs, agentic systems, RAG, evaluation and modern AI architectures, with strong technical judgment about what works in production. Technically hands-on: fluent in Python and/or TypeScript and able to prototype, review code and challenge architectural decisions.

  • Experience designing secure, production-grade AI systems, including enterprise integration, data privacy, access control and auditability.

  • Strong interest in reasoning, knowledge representation and intelligent systems; experience with knowledge graphs, ontologies or semantic architectures is a plus.

  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear concepts, architectures and working solutions, and communicate them to both engineers and senior executives.

  • Product mindset: curiosity beyond the technology itself and the ambition to turn successful ideas into reusable solutions and IP.

  • Fluent in English. German fluency is a strong plus.
