The Job
This role is part of the Engineering department within stichd Logistics in Tilburg. The team is responsible for local improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary projects that connect Tilburg Logistics with HQ and other departments.
Our Tilburg logistics centre is a large-scale, highly automated distribution operation and plays a central role in stichd’s supply chain. From this site, products are received, processed, stored and shipped to support our customers and markets across the world.
As a Logistics Engineer, you help maintain and improve the performance of our distribution centre. You develop and implement logistics concepts, analyse processes and support improvements that take operational requirements, feasibility, system impact, risk and customer impact into account.
The role combines operational support, data analysis, process optimisation, WMS improvements and project work across Tilburg Logistics. You work closely with Warehouse Operations, IT, Commercial Services, Supply Planning, Data Management, HQ and other stakeholders to ensure improvements are practical, aligned and successfully implemented.
Your Mission
- Create and present management reports;
- Develop operational reports and dashboards;
- Perform and interpret data analysis;
- Identify, set up and implement process improvements;
- Develop, test and implement functional improvements in the WMS;
- Contribute to cross-functional and company-wide projects.
Your Talent
- Higher professional or university-level education, preferably in logistics, supply chain or business administration;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain operations;
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems;
- Preferably experience with automated logistics processes;
- Critical mindset and a strong drive for continuous improvement;
- Proactive and results-oriented;
- Able to prioritise and work effectively in a dynamic environment;
- Excellent MS Excel skills;
- Good command of the English language;
- Flexible attitude.
This role is based in Tilburg, the Netherlands. Working remotely from other countries is not possible.
