Design Manager Masterplanning

Design Manager – Infrastructure & Masterplanning. Salary up 45,000 SAR

I am working on a search for an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead the delivery of complex infrastructure, masterplanning and urban development projects in Saudi Arabia.

The position will involve managing major multidisciplinary projects from concept through detailed design, tender and construction support.

You will coordinate teams across infrastructure, masterplanning, architecture, utilities, transport, landscape and environmental design, while acting as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design management and delivery of large-scale multidisciplinary projects

• Manage project programmes, resources, deliverables, budgets and design interfaces

• Coordinate internal design teams, subconsultants, contractors and external stakeholders

• Act as a key client interface and lead project reporting and communication

• Oversee design quality, technical coordination and compliance with authority requirements

• Lead design reviews, technical workshops, value engineering and design optimisation

• Manage project risks, scope changes, variations and change-control processes

• Support project directors with commercial performance and resource planning

• Mentor project teams and encourage effective collaboration across disciplines

• Support proposals, tenders, methodologies and business development activities

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning or a related discipline

• At least 12 years’ relevant experience

• Significant design management experience within a multidisciplinary consultancy

• Strong experience across infrastructure, masterplanning and urban development projects

• Experience managing projects from concept through detailed design and tender

• Strong project leadership, technical coordination and client-facing capabilities

• Saudi Arabian or wider GCC experience is highly desirable

• Experience delivering industrial cities, mixed-use developments or major infrastructure programmes would be a strong advantage
