Job Purpose: To lead organization development initiatives by defining organization design direction, developing workforce planning and job architecture frameworks, and ensuring effective execution of organization structure and capability interventions that improve organizational efficiency, role clarity, and alignment with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Corporate Strategy
  • Translate business strategy and growth plans into organization design principles and workforce direction to ensure alignment between structure and strategic priorities.
  • Provide strategic advisory to the CHRO and senior leadership on operating models, organization effectiveness, and structural optimization.
  • Support long-term workforce planning by aligning organization design with business expansion and transformation requirements.
  1. Functional Planning
  • Develop and maintain an annual organization development roadmap covering organization design, workforce planning, job architecture, and culture initiatives.
  • Define detailed timelines, milestones, and deliverables for all OD programs and interventions.
  • Plan resource requirements and stakeholder involvement for successful execution of OD initiatives.

Functional Management

Organization Design & Structure

  • Design and refine organization structures to ensure scalability, efficiency, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Define clear reporting lines, spans of control, and functional accountability across the organization.

Job Architecture & Job Evaluation

  • Develop and maintain job architecture frameworks including job families, job levels, and grading structures.
  • Lead job evaluation exercises using recognized methodologies (e.g., Korn Ferry / Hay) to ensure internal equity and consistency.
  • Ensure all roles have clearly defined job descriptions aligned with organizational standards.

Workforce Planning & Optimization

  • Develop workforce planning models to assess current and future workforce requirements.
  • Analyze manpower utilization and recommend optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Support business units in identifying workforce gaps and defining hiring or restructuring needs.

Competency Framework & Organizational Capability

  • Ensure alignment of competencies with organizational values, strategy, and role requirements.
  • Support integration of competency frameworks into talent management and development processes.
  1. Operational Management
  • Maintain organization structures, job descriptions, and workforce data within HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance of all organization-related documentation and data.
  1. Leadership / People Management
  • Lead and manage the OD team by setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and providing continuous feedback and coaching.
  • Build team capability in organization design, job evaluation, and workforce analytics.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  1. Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners to understand organizational needs and deliver tailored OD solutions.
  • Facilitate discussions with senior stakeholders on organization design, workforce planning, and role clarity.
  • Support stakeholders during implementation of organization changes and restructuring initiatives.
  1. Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE)
  • Ensure all organization development activities comply with internal governance standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain quality and consistency in organization design frameworks and processes.

Essential Requirements

Desired (Preferred) Attributes

Educational Qualification(s)

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
  • Master’s degree (MBA / Organizational Development / HR) is highly preferred.

Preferred Certification(s)

  • Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development CIPD
  • Job Evaluation Certification (Korn Ferry / Hay)
  • Organization Development / HR Strategy certifications

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5 – 10 years of progressive experience in Organization Development, HR Consulting, or Strategic HR roles.
  • Proven experience in organization design, job architecture, and workforce planning in a medium to large organization.
  • Exposure to HR systems (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors) and organizational data management is required.
  • Hands-on experience in job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Korn Ferry / Hay) and grading frameworks.
  • Experience in transformation projects, restructuring, or operating model design is highly preferred.
