Job Description: Cost Control Engineer
We’re Hiring!
We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer to join our team for Saudi Aramco–approved and others Potential clients’ projects, ensuring high-quality construction, safety, and compliance with engineering standards.
Role Purpose
Responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs against approved budgets and providing timely forecasts and cost-performance information to project management.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain project cost-control structures.
• Monitor budget, commitments, actual expenditures, and forecast costs.
• Track purchase orders, subcontracts, manpower, equipment, and other project costs.
• Prepare cost reports and forecasts.
• Analyze budget variances and identify potential overruns.
• Maintain cost-to-complete and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Coordinate cost information with procurement, finance, planning, and project management.
• Support change-order and variation cost assessments.
• Support cash-flow and project financial forecasting.
• Provide management with reliable cost-performance indicators.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of project cost-control experience preferred.
• EPC/construction background preferred.
Technical Competencies
• Cost budgeting and forecasting.
• Commitments and actual-cost monitoring.
• EAC/ETC.
• Variance analysis.
• Cash-flow forecasting.
• Advanced Excel.
• ERP/project-control systems experience is an advantage.
GENERAL RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should demonstrate:
• Relevant academic/technical qualifications for the position.
• Relevant industrial, construction, infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or EPC experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
• Professional accountability and ability to work in a developing project organization.
• Previous Saudi Arabia experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SEC, or other major Saudi industrial clients is an advantage where relevant to the position.
• English communication capability appropriate to the position.
