About Capital Projects Consulting Practice

In a time of ever-evolving physical infrastructure needs, as well as historical levels of planned investment in infrastructure projects, Protiviti’s Capital Projects Consulting services helps the various government and private sector clients to better strategize, plan, deliver the projects and thereon efficiently operate the assets. We help our clients fully understand the risks inherent in managing their business to appropriately mitigate them and provide leading practice processes to make large capital decisions with confidence. We also help improving their institutional and project-level governance mechanisms, to enable enhanced decision making and operational effectiveness & efficiency.

We’re a team of sectoral enthusiasts with multi-dimensional skillsets (such as Engineering, Project-Management, Business Administration, Chartered Accountants) spread across UAE, KSA, Bahrain and Qatar. We’re now looking for Business Process Improvement professionals to augment our expanding teams across the aforementioned geographies. We’re looking for candidates with prior experience in managing business process improvement and change improvement programs who can contribute towards / leading such mandates.

Given the fast-paced landscape, pro-active, accountable and results- driven people will flourish in this environment. Dealing with competing priorities, understanding how to manage clients’ expectations/timelines and communicating effectively are key skills. Though we’re inclined towards professionals with experience aligned with construction, development, and capital projects, this may certainly not be a limitation for highly skilled and experienced candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will actively contribute / lead BPI / Policy & Procedure / Change Management assignments and handle the various aspects around Stakeholder Consultation, As-Is / Gap Assessments, Design of Customer Personas and Journeys, Design of To-Be Processes & Policies, Alignment of Procedural framework with existing Policy & DOAs, Developing To-Be KPIs and SLAs, Forms and Templates, Design and Implementation of Change Management programs.
  • You will be expected to independently drive the assignments and lead client interactions, and conduct high-quality and research-based assessments, to offer the industry-leading advise to clients
  • You will be required to take complete accountability of the allocated tasks / modules / assignments
  • Work as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress, help prepare for meetings with target management teams, and participate in these meetings and assist in preparing reports and schedules for clients and other parties.
  • You will be primarily serving our clients across the Middle East region.
  • You are also anticipated to have a large amount of interaction with the other Protiviti’s lines of services (such as Risk and Governance, Technology Consulting, Data & Digital teams, etc.) which requires a high-level understanding of the wider Protiviti’s offering and trends outside your core area of expertise.
  • You will be expected to build and maintain positive, productive and professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • You will be also responsible for business development efforts within the organization to bring in additional business opportunities and promote Protiviti-BPI’s brand image across the region.

Experience and Qualification required

  • Qualified Engineer / MBA (Finance) /CA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • 3-7 years’ experience in delivering BPI / Policy & Procedure assignments, preferably with Big 4s or other boutique BPI firms, handling the various aspects around Stakeholder Consultation, As-Is / Gap Assessments, Design of Customer Personas and Journeys, Design of To-Be Processes & Policies, Alignment of Procedural framework with existing Policy &DOAs, Developing To-Be KPIs and SLAs, Forms and Templates, Design and Implementation of Change Management programs.
  • Experience of working with construction & CAPEX development projects is preferred, though not essential. We also welcome candidates working across other industries, but must have exceptional BPI skillset
  • Good knowledge of various organizational functions, processes and supporting tools
  • Exposure / Understanding of relevant modules ERPs such a Dynamics, CRM, SAP, Oracle etc.
  • Proficient in BPI tools (such as MS Visio and ARIS) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project, etc.). ARIS knowledge and certifications shall be a key value add.
  • Ability to identify key issues and potential risks to make recommendations to address problems
  • Lean Six Sigma or related certifications shall be preferred

  • High energy individual possessing excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills. Must have ability to multi-task.
  • Flexibility to travel to, and work in, other locations (as and when required).
