Job Description | Industrial Electrician

As an Industrial Electrician, you will install, connect, test, commission, maintain, and modify electrical and instrumentation systems within a modern industrial production facility.

You will work according to the highest safety standards in an international team on a large-scale industrial project.

Your Responsibilities

As an Industrial Electrician you will:

• Install and connect motors, MCCs, switchboards and control panels
• Install, pull, terminate and connect power, control and multicore cables
• Install junction boxes and connect field instrumentation
• Install and connect ATEX / Ex-certified electrical equipment
• Install Ex cable glands (HAWKE experience is an advantage)
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, loop drawings and schematics
• Perform testing, troubleshooting and commissioning
• Carry out maintenance and modifications on industrial electrical installations
• Work safely according to VCA, ATEX and client procedures
• Maintain the highest standards of quality and workmanship

About the Project

You will work at a state-of-the-art hydrogen production facility in the Rotterdam Botlek / Maasvlakte area.

The plant produces large volumes of hydrogen for industrial applications and incorporates advanced carbon capture technology, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions by capturing and processing carbon dioxide generated during production.

This project is one of the most modern industrial developments in the Dutch petrochemical sector.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for experienced industrial electrical professionals with:

• MBO Level 3 or Level 4 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent European qualification)
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, Electrical Technician or E&I Technician
• Experience in industrial plants, petrochemical facilities, chemical plants, process industry or heavy industry
• Experience with ATEX / Ex installations
• Experience installing Ex cable glands (HAWKE is preferred)
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation
• VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one
• NEN 3140 certification is an advantage
• Driving licence (Category B)
• Good communication skills in English or Dutch
• Strong safety awareness
• Attention to detail and quality
