Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the PTW process for daily site activities.

  • Review permit applications, supporting documents, JSA/RA, method statements, and work scope.

  • Ensure permits are correctly prepared, authorized, displayed, and closed.

  • Coordinate with Permit Holder, Area Authority, Issuing Authority, Operations, HSE, and Construction teams.

  • Verify required isolations, gas testing, barricading, PPE, and other permit controls.

  • Monitor compliance with ADNOC PTW requirements and Life Saving Rules.

  • Maintain a permit register and track permit status, validity, extensions, and closures.

  • Coordinate simultaneous operations (SIMOPS) and identify potential permit conflicts.

  • Conduct site checks to verify permit conditions are implemented before work starts.

  • Stop or suspend work when permit conditions are not met or unsafe conditions exist.

  • Support toolbox talks and permit-related safety briefings.

  • Maintain PTW records, logs, checklists, and daily reports.

  • Participate in PTW audits and ensure corrective actions are closed.

  • Support shift handover and communicate active permits and outstanding issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in Permit Coordination/PTW activities within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC, or Industrial projects.

  • ADNOC/UAE or GCC experience preferred.

  • Diploma/ITI or Bachelor’s qualification in Engineering, HSE, or a related discipline.

  • Strong knowledge of PTW, JSA/RA, LOTO, isolation, gas testing, and SIMOPS.

  • Familiarity with hot work, confined space, excavation, lifting, electrical and mechanical work permits.

  • Experience in brownfield/live-plant environments is an advantage.

  • Good communication, coordination, documentation, and computer skills.

  • ADNOC/client PTW authorization or competency certification preferred, subject to project requirements.
