Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Tenancy Disputes Lawyer to manage and advise on rental, tenancy, and property-related disputes. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the company in tenancy disputes, preparing legal documentation, providing legal advice, and managing cases before the relevant rental dispute authorities and courts in the UAE.
The candidate must have strong knowledge of UAE tenancy and property laws, excellent negotiation and dispute-resolution skills, and the ability to communicate professionally in both Arabic and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on tenancy, lease, rental, and property-related disputes.
- Handle disputes between landlords and tenants, including non-payment of rent, eviction, lease termination, rental increases, security deposits, maintenance responsibilities, and contractual breaches.
- Prepare, review, and advise on tenancy agreements, lease agreements, notices, settlement agreements, and other legal documentation.
- Prepare and file cases, claims, responses, legal memoranda, notices, and supporting documents before the relevant Rental Dispute Settlement Centres, municipalities, courts, and government authorities.
- Represent the company or its clients before relevant rental dispute committees, courts, government departments, and other legal authorities where permitted.
- Draft and issue legal notices relating to unpaid rent, eviction, contractual violations, lease termination, and other tenancy matters.
- Review tenancy contracts and identify potential legal risks or areas of non-compliance.
- Provide recommendations to management regarding legal risks, dispute strategies, and settlement options.
- Negotiate with landlords, tenants, legal representatives, and other parties to resolve disputes where possible without litigation.
- Manage ongoing legal cases and ensure all deadlines, hearings, submissions, and documentation requirements are completed on time.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all legal matters and case documentation.
- Coordinate with external law firms, legal consultants, government authorities, and other parties when required.
- Monitor changes to UAE property, tenancy, rental, and real estate regulations and advise management accordingly.
- Assist in the recovery of outstanding rental payments and other financial claims.
- Support management in resolving contractual disputes relating to commercial and residential properties.
- Prepare regular reports for management regarding ongoing cases, risks, settlements, and legal developments.
- Ensure all legal actions and recommendations are in accordance with applicable UAE laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within the UAE.
- Strong experience handling tenancy, rental, real estate, and property-related disputes.
- Strong knowledge of UAE tenancy laws, lease regulations, property laws, and dispute-resolution procedures.
- Previous experience dealing with Rental Dispute Settlement Centres, municipalities, courts, or other relevant UAE government authorities is highly preferred.
- Experience drafting legal notices, claims, responses, memoranda, settlement agreements, and tenancy-related legal documentation.
- Strong negotiation, mediation, and dispute-resolution skills.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple legal cases simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and provide practical legal recommendations to management.
- High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
Language Requirement
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
- Strong written and spoken English is also required.
- The candidate must be capable of drafting, reviewing, and understanding legal documents and communicating with government authorities and other parties in Arabic.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working with a law firm, real estate company, property management company, landlord, developer, or corporate legal department in the UAE.
- Experience handling both commercial and residential tenancy disputes.
- Familiarity with UAE government portals, tenancy registration systems, and rental dispute procedures.
- UAE legal or court-related experience will be considered a strong advantage.

Pay: AED3,566.66 - AED22,453.04 per month
