Specialist - Information Technology (Oracle EBS OAF Consultant)

About the Role

The Specialist - Information Technology (Oracle EBS OAF Function) is responsible for developing, customizing, maintaining, and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite applications using Oracle Application Framework (OAF). This role provides hands-on technical expertise in enhancing Oracle EBS solutions, including OAF pages, JSP components, and RICEW objects. Working closely with senior IT team members, functional consultants, and business stakeholders, the incumbent translates business and functional requirements into reliable technical solutions that ensure application performance, system stability, data integrity, and compliance with Oracle development standards and IT governance. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director - Information Technology within the Group Chief Finance Office & SVP - Asset Management.

Your Responsibilities

• Oracle EBS OAF Development and Customization (35%): Develop, customize, test, and maintain Oracle EBS applications using Oracle Application Framework, including OAF pages, JSP components, controllers, application modules, view objects, and RICEW components such as Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Workflows. Ensure adherence to Oracle coding standards and internal IT governance through code reviews and continuous improvements.
• Technical Analysis and Solution Design (20%): Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to analyze functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Prepare design documents, assess technical impacts, and recommend practical solutions aligned with architecture, performance, security, and maintainability standards.
• Application Support, Troubleshooting and Root-Cause Analysis (20%): Provide technical support for Oracle EBS OAF-related incidents across development, testing, and production environments. Investigate and resolve issues involving OAF, JSP, Java, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, and web services. Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Performance Tuning and System Optimization (15%): Monitor and optimize performance of OAF components, application code, and database queries. Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective measures. Support Oracle EBS upgrades, patches, and migrations to ensure system stability and performance.
• Documentation, Testing and Collaboration (10%): Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test scripts, and deployment instructions. Conduct unit and system testing, support integration and user acceptance testing, and assist with controlled deployments. Collaborate effectively with IT teams, functional consultants, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of technical solutions.

Who we are looking for

We seek a dedicated professional with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Oracle E-Business Suite technical certification and relevant certifications in Java, Oracle databases, or application development are advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience in Oracle EBS technical development and application support, including at least 3 years of hands-on expertise with Oracle Application Framework. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Java, JSP, XML, web services, and RICEW components is essential. Experience with Oracle EBS modules such as Inventory, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Projects is expected. Knowledge of the Complex Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (CMRO) module and experience in aviation or MRO environments are desirable.

Key competencies include strong technical development skills, effective problem-solving, sound knowledge of ERP architecture and integrations, performance optimization, thorough documentation, and excellent communication. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage technical deliverables, adhere to development and change-control procedures, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
