Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Legal Services - Corporate Matters team at our headquarters in Hannover / Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as a Senior Legal Counsel Banking and Capital Markets Law.

You can look forward to

Advising national and international Hannover Re Group companies on banking regulatory, capital markets and financing law matters

Supporting Insurance-Linked Securities and Insurance Capital Management transactions from structuring and execution through to completion

Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop legally sound and practical solutions for innovative capital markets and financing projects

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, transaction documentation and regulatory documents in both domestic and international environments

Enabling management, executive boards and business units to make well-founded, legally sound and commercially viable decisions on strategic capital markets and financing activities

You come equipped with

A degree in Law, Commercial Law or a comparable legal qualification, with above-average academic results

Several years of relevant professional experience as a Legal Counsel, Corporate Counsel, In-house Lawyer, Commercial Lawyer or Solicitor, gained within a financial services organisation or a commercial law firm

Strong expertise in banking, capital markets or financing law, including regulatory aspects, as well as company law relating to limited partnerships and limited liability companies, combined with an interest in complex financing structures, capital markets transactions and regulatory matters

Fluent German and English language skills, together with a strong ability to work effectively in an international environment, ideally gained through international study, work or overseas experience

A strong commercial mindset, sound judgement and the ability to develop sustainable solutions through authentic and trusted collaboration
