Job description

Hiring for Senior Manager - Enterprise System

Key Responsibilities

1. D365 Implementation — End-to-End Ownership

  • Lead the full SAP-to-D365 F&SCM migration at HSE from pre-implementation through go-live and stabilization
  • Own the implementation partner selection process: define evaluation criteria, run the RFP, assess technical and commercial bids, and make the recommendation to the CIO
  • Conduct a rigorous current-state documentation exercise with HSE business users before the implementation partner begins discovery — the vendor will describe the system as configured; you must capture how it is actually used
  • Define functional scope, data migration strategy, integration architecture with JCC (Epicor), and cutover plan
  • Maintain accountability for delivery timelines, budget, and quality — the implementation partner is a vendor you manage, not a safety net you lean on
  • Ensure ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing compliance is embedded in the D365 design from day one, not retrofitted
  • Hire and develop the D365 team beneath you: Technical Consultant, Administrator, End User Support, and D365 Functional Analyst (internal transition)

2. Business Stakeholder Management

  • Establish direct working relationships with HSE CEO, CFO, and operations leadership — independently, not through the CIO
  • Translate system constraints, implementation risks, and timeline realities into business language that executives can act on
  • Manage expectations across the implementation lifecycle — including delivering uncomfortable news about scope, timeline, or complexity without losing the relationship
  • Drive organizational readiness and change adoption across HSE's business functions
  • Chair the HSE-side implementation steering cadence with business leadership

3. Enterprise Systems Architecture & Governance

  • Define the long-term enterprise systems roadmap for HSE in alignment with the cross-entity architecture led by the Enterprise Systems Architect (JCC)
  • Establish D365 governance: change management, access controls, release management, and configuration documentation standards
  • Own the intercompany integration specification between HSE (D365) and JCC (Epicor) — a critical dependency given JCC is HSE's primary supplier
  • Ensure master data quality and governance frameworks are embedded from implementation start, not bolted on post-go-live

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage the HSE Enterprise Systems team
  • Build a team culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and business partnership — not a support desk culture
  • Collaborate with the Process Excellence function (cross-entity functional consultants) to ensure D365 process design reflects actual business operations
  • Act as a peer to the Enterprise Systems Architect (JCC side) and to the Sr. Manager Digital Transformation & Infrastructure — this is a collaborative leadership model, not a siloed one

5. Strategic Contribution

  • Contribute to IT governance body (IT Steering Committee) — representing the enterprise systems function across both entities
  • Identify and advocate for AI, automation, and analytics opportunities within HSE's operational scope
  • Actively participate in cross-entity technology decisions — including shared platform evaluations, vendor negotiations, and architecture reviews
  • Develop the strategic muscle and executive presence required to step into the CIO role — this is an explicit expectation, not a bonus

Requirements

Non-Negotiable

  • Minimum one full D365 Finance & Supply Chain Management go-live as implementation lead or functional lead — not team member, not observer
  • Proven track record managing external implementation partners as accountable vendors — with evidence of pushing back, escalating, and protecting the client organization's interests
  • Direct experience presenting to and managing C-level stakeholders (CEO / CFO) — independently, not through a line manager
  • Strong command of D365 Finance module: GL, AR/AP, fixed assets, financial reporting
  • Solid working knowledge of D365 SCM: procurement, inventory management, warehouse management
  • Understanding of ZATCA / VAT compliance requirements in KSA — or demonstrable track record of implementing tax compliance within ERP systems in a GCC jurisdiction
  • 10+ years in enterprise systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior delivery role

Strongly Preferred

  • SAP experience (Finance, MM, or SD modules) — critical for managing the transition, knowledge transfer, and gap analysis between SAP and D365
  • Experience in trading, distribution, or supply chain-intensive industries
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications: MB-300, MB-310 (Finance), MB-330 (SCM)
  • Arabic language — working proficiency or better
  • Prior GCC / KSA experience — understanding of regulatory environment, business culture, and vendor landscape
  • Exposure to Power BI or analytics platforms — given the broader IT mandate and CIO trajectory

Leadership Profile

  • Executive presence: can hold a room with a CFO and CEO and deliver bad news without losing the relationship
  • Vendor discipline: treats the implementation partner as an accountable contractor, not an authority — reviews, challenges, and approves technical designs before they are locked in
  • Business translator: converts system constraints into business-language decisions — not the other way around
  • Builder mentality: comfortable arriving to a blank page, creating structure where none exists, and driving forward without a playbook
  • Strategic thinker with operational credibility — the CIO path requires both.

Working Environment

  • Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia — on-site presence required
  • Reporting: Direct line to CIO. Peer relationships with Enterprise Systems Architect (JCC) and Sr. Manager Digital Transformation & Infrastructure
  • Language: English is the working language of the IT function; Arabic is an advantage in business stakeholder interactions
  • Infrastructure context: On-premise dominant + GCP + Google Workspace; Zoho CRM active at HSE; MenaItech for HR/payroll
  • Cross-entity touchpoints: Regular collaboration with JCC enterprise systems team on integration, master data, and architecture decisions

Work Location: In person
