You develop and implement algorithms to gain valuable insights and support our research projects with your technical expertise. Your Responsibilities

  • Transform raw sequence data into meaningful insights through cutting-edge bioinformatic processing and analysis.

  • Craft detailed and insightful reports that delight and inform our customers.

  • Evaluate, test, and implement innovative software solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible.

  • Develop and customize bioinformatic tools tailored to unique customer projects and enhance our internal capabilities.

  • Provide expert advice and technical support, becoming a trusted partner to our customers.

  • Play a key role in planning and executing exciting sequencing projects.

  • Ensure timely delivery of results, maintaining our commitment to excellence.

  • Contribute to the development of advanced methods for our internal Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

  • Drive the optimization of technological processes to enhance service quality and achieve cost savings.

  • Champion safety and accident prevention, fostering a secure work environment.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to room responsibility regulations.

Your experience 

  • Knowledge of methods and algorithms for NGS data analysis, preferably in variant discovery and genotyping applications

  • Formal training in genetics, preferably with experience in breeding applications

  • Experience in working with Python and general shell scripting

  • Preferably experience in working in close cooperation with wet-lab scientists

  • Fluent English language skills are a must, German would be beneficial
