Welding Foreman

Job Purpose

Responsible for supervising and controlling daily welding activities within the production line, ensuring welding quality, productivity, safety, and compliance with production requirements.

The Welding Foreman will lead and guide welders, monitor welding processes, and ensure all welding work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, weld sizes, procedures, and required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and control daily welding activities within the production line.
• Allocate welding tasks according to production plans and priorities.
• Ensure welding is carried out according to approved drawings, weld sizes, procedures, and quality standards.
• Monitor weld quality, including weld appearance, penetration, dimensions, and defects.
• Check and verify welding parameters, consumables, equipment, and machine settings.
• Ensure correct welding techniques are followed for different materials and thicknesses.
• Monitor productivity and ensure welding activities are completed according to production targets.
• Identify welding defects and coordinate corrective actions to reduce rework and material wastage.
• Train, guide, and support welders to improve their skills, efficiency, and quality of work.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and other departments to resolve welding-related issues.
• Ensure welding equipment and work areas are used safely and maintained in proper working condition.
