Job description
What you’ll do…
-
Lead our busy reactive groups & events team by leading by example and delivering training and support on Hoxton brand standards for all stages of our reactive quoting, contracting and planning journey.
-
Have a great understanding of our operation – and support the groups & events team in training on our operation and providing tip-top handovers to the hotel teams in order to deliver incredible guest experiences.
-
Work with the Director of Sales on projects and initiatives to drive conversion and identify opportunities for success.
-
Provide forecasting and reporting on revenues and business levels and help turn these into strategies and understanding to support the team maximising conversion, driving revenues, and hitting targets.
-
Show your keen eye for detail to use, update and train the team on our booking systems: think tracking and following up on enquiries, generating contracts, invoices and function sheets, inputting details for operational handover, taking deposits and tracking payments and keeping an up-to-date database.
-
Develop great product knowledge and proactively share this with the team through training and day to day support – become a ‘go to’ person who either knows the answer or where to find it!
-
Prioritise developing client relationships and work to truly understand guest needs, while always following up and creating opportunities to develop repeat business.
-
Be an ambassador for The Hoxton brand and support the team in keeping the guest experience at the heart of everything we do.
-
Actively contribute to a positive team culture as part of a fast-paced department.
-
Build strong relationships and communication with other Hoxton teams, championing positive collaboration across the business.
-
Keep your thinking cap on at all times, get creative when problem solving and don’t be afraid to challenge the norm – we want your fresh ideas!
What we’re looking for…
-
Experience working within hospitality or a similar role; you’re looking for an opportunity to take the next step into a career in reactive groups & event sales.
-
Someone who is proud of their attention to detail and knows how to stay organised while working at a fast pace.
-
You’re confident using systems such as Outlook, Excel, Microsoft word, (experience using OPERA Cloud and Delphi would be an advantage)
-
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Dutch language skills are an advantage.
-
Individuals. You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here.
-
Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night.
-
You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.
-
You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get shit done.
-
You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
-
If we got stuck in a lift together, we’d have a good time and share a few laughs.
-
You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way.
-
It's all about attitude for us, someone who enjoys being helpful to others; that person who makes you feel confident they can answer any question and who you'd want to stop and chat to.
-
You are scarily organised, have the ability to multi-task and spin a million plates in the air at one time, prioritise and re-prioritise as things come in.
What’s in it for you…
-
Become part of a team that’s very passionate about creating great hospitality experiences.
-
Competitive salary.
-
25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).
-
Food on us during your shift.
-
Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us.
-
Training to get you settled into your role with ongoing development that helps you think, make and thrive to set you up for success at work.
-
Time off to volunteer with one of our partner charities.
-
Hox Hero and Nifty fifty, our rewards for going the extra mile and living our values.
-
An annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events creating opportunities for you to learn, celebrate and make a positive impact.
-
Regular team get togethers, from our High Fives to our (pretty special!) team parties – we know how to have a good time!
-
The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.
-
It’s ok not to be ok, we offer access to OpenUp, a trusted platform for professional support and a network of mental health first aiders.
-
Pedal like a local - Enjoy a Swapfiets membership with a discount: repairs and maintenance included.
-
Stay active your way with a discounted Urban Sports Club membership, supporting your overall wellbeing and balance.
-
Join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that is shaking things up on the hospitality scene.
-
Excellent discounts across The Hoxton and the global Ennismore family.
