Job description

Senior HR Executive

Location: Berlin, Germany (On-site)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday (Flexible working hours)

Salary: Up to €40,000 per year + performance bonus

Minimum Requirements:

  • B2 level German
  • B2 level English

OrderYOYO helps takeaway restaurants succeed online by providing them with personalised, branded mobile apps, websites, and tailored marketing solutions. We ensure that small- to medium-sized restaurants and small chains are not subjected to high commissions, giving them full ownership of their success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary People contact for employees and managers in the Berlin office.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Ensure HR policies, processes, and employee records remain compliant with German labour law and internal standards.
  • Partner with managers to support employee relations matters, team effectiveness, performance conversations, and employee wellbeing.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, culture activities, and office experience improvements.
  • Provide guidance and day-to-day support to a junior People team member, helping to prioritise workload and support development.
  • Collaborate closely with international stakeholders and the wider People team across locations.
  • Support reporting, HR data management, and people analytics where required.
  • Contribute to People projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an HR or People role
  • Strong knowledge of German employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both German and English
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Experience in a fast-paced or scale-up environment is desirable
