Dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / DriverJob OverviewWe are seeking a reliable, qualified, and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) who will also handle morning and afternoon transport for a 15-year-old boy with Down syndrome in Grade 8.

The student attends the School of Modern Skills located in Muhaisnah 1, Dubai. The successful candidate will drive the student to and from school and provide dedicated 1:1 academic, social, and executive functioning support throughout the school day following the American Curriculum.

Key Logistics & CompensationWorking Hours: 7:15 AM – 2:30 PM (plus commute times before and after school).Location: Muhaisnah, Dubai (School of Modern Skills).Salary: AED 3,700 – AED 4,500 per month (all-inclusive).Visa Status: Candidates must hold their own valid UAE residence visa (Husband/Father/Freelance sponsorship).Transportation Requirement: Must own a safe, registered car and hold a valid UAE Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities1. Safe TransportationPick up the student from home and safely drive him to school, ensuring arrival before 7:15 AM.Collect the student from his classroom at 2:30 PM and drive him safely back home.Ensure all vehicle safety measures (seatbelts, child locks) are strictly followed.2. Academic & American Curriculum SupportScaffold US Next Generation Standards (and relevant state standards) by breaking down Grade 8 English, Math, and Science concepts into smaller, actionable milestones.Adapt classroom materials, graphic organizers, and digital tools under the guidance of the School of Modern Skills inclusion team.Track IEP progress and ensure accommodations (like extended time or simplified text) are implemented daily.3. Executive Functioning & Classroom TransitionsGuide the student through middle school classroom rotations, managing books, locker stops, and tech devices.Minimize distractions during independent work times by using visual timers and prompts.Foster self-reliance by intentionally fading support when the student can complete a task autonomously.4. Social Inclusion & Speech SupportFacilitate peer integration during collaborative group work, lunch breaks, and school events.Encourage verbal expression and clarity, reinforcing his speech and language goals within the school environment.Job

RequirementsExperience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Shadow Teacher or LSA in the UAE, ideally within an American curriculum framework.

Driving: Valid UAE Driving License and a personally owned, reliable vehicle.Visa: Must have own visa with valid Emirates ID.Language: Fluent, clear English communication skills.

Attributes: High patience, proactive mindset, and experience managing teenagers with special educational needs

(Down syndrome experience preferred).

Pay: AED3,700.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
