Job description

Logistics Coordinator

About EastEco

EastEco is a fast-growing food company based in the Netherlands, specialized in bringing Korean food and street food products to the European market.

We work with retailers, distributors, suppliers, warehouses, forwarders and logistics partners across multiple European countries.

We are a young, international and ambitious team with short communication lines and an informal working atmosphere. We work hard, but also believe it is important to have fun together through monthly company dinners and regular team activities.

As we continue to grow across Europe, we are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support and coordinate our daily logistics operation.

The Role

As Logistics Coordinator, you make sure our daily logistics runs smoothly.

EastEco is not a logistics company and most of our physical logistics and transport planning is handled by external warehouses, carriers, forwarders and other logistics partners.

Your role is to coordinate these partners, keep overview of orders and deliveries, follow up when something goes wrong and make sure everyone has the right information.

What is important is that you are organized, communicate clearly, take responsibility and are good at solving practical problems.

One moment you may be checking whether a customer delivery has arrived correctly, while the next you are coordinating a container arrival with our forwarder and warehouse.

Your main goal is simple:

Make sure orders, deliveries and stock movements are properly coordinated from start to finish.

What will you do?

  • Process customer orders and communicate delivery requirements to our logistics partners;
  • Coordinate deliveries with warehouses, carriers and forwarders;
  • Follow up on open deliveries and transport appointments;
  • Keep customers and internal teams informed about delays or changes;
  • Help solve delivery errors, shortages, damages or other logistics issues;
  • Monitor incoming containers and coordinate unloading appointments with our warehouse;
  • Keep an overview of available stock and flag possible stock shortages;
  • Investigate stock differences together with the warehouse;
  • Check PODs and basic logistics documentation;
  • Coordinate daily with Sales, Purchasing, Finance and external logistics partners;
  • Keep logistics information and administration up to date;
  • Help improve simple processes and ways of working as the company grows.

Who are we looking for?

We are mainly looking for someone who is reliable, structured and good at getting things done.

You don't need many years of logistics experience. This role can also be a good next step for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to learn quickly in an international company.

Ideally, you have:

  • MBO+/HBO working and thinking level;
  • Around 0–2 years of relevant work experience;
  • Good organizational and communication skills;
  • A proactive and practical mindset;
  • The ability to keep overview when several things happen at the same time;
  • Confidence communicating with warehouses, carriers, customers and colleagues;
  • A problem-solving attitude — when something goes wrong, you look for the solution;
  • Good command of Dutch and English;
  • Basic Excel skills.

Experience in logistics, transport, customer service, order processing or supply chain.

What do we offer?

  • €2,800 – €3,200 gross per month, depending on experience;
  • Full-time contract;
  • 25 vacation days;
  • Travel allowance;
  • A lot of independence and responsibility;
  • A young and international team;
  • Informal working environment with short communication lines;
  • Monthly company dinners;
  • Regular team activities and social events;
  • Opportunities to grow together with the company;
  • Direct exposure to international customers and logistics partners;
  • A dynamic scale-up environment where your ideas are actually heard.

Why EastEco?

This is not a traditional transport planning position where you spend the entire day building routes or planning trucks.

Instead, you will be the coordinating link between EastEco and our external logistics partners.

You will learn how international food logistics works while working closely with Sales, Purchasing, warehouses, carriers and forwarders.

It is a good position for someone who enjoys keeping things organized, communicating with different parties and solving problems when they arise.

As EastEco grows, there will also be opportunities to take on more responsibility and develop further within operations and supply chain.
