Job description
In this role, you will play a key part in driving data backed decision making and customer centric marketing across METRO’s global markets. You’ll work closely with international marketing teams, data scientists, and CRM specialists to analyze customer behavior, support with valuable data to optimize communication journeys, and build intelligent reporting and automation tools. Your work will directly influence how 21 countries engage with millions of customers—transforming data into actionable insights, scalable processes, and impactful business outcomes.
Your responsibilities

Implementing projects in cooperation with marketing teams from 21 countries worldwide and the METRO Group headquarters in Düsseldorf

Analyzing and preparing reports on executed marketing and customer-related activities to identify opportunities for improving CRM communication and customer journeys

Collaborating with the Data Science team

Creating data visualizations
-
Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of CRM tools, reporting frameworks, and marketing automation processes.

Integrating data sets from multiple sources

Ensuring high quality of processed and reported information

Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science or a related field.

5+ years experience in the analysis of customer behavior and/or marketing campaigns, with an understanding of their specific characteristics

Interest in customer behavior, CRM, and retail/FMCG analytics
-
Advanced SQL skills, ideally using Google BigQuery.; experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Knowledge of Adobe Journey Optimizer / Adobe Real-Time CDP is an advantage

Advanced experience in preparing data visualizations using BI tools (experience with Looker Studio is required)

Experience in working with large datasets

Proficiency in Excel

Strong conceptual thinking and a creative, solution-oriented approach

Experience translating data into actionable business recommendations.

Excellent analytical skills

Good command of English, allowing for effective daily communication within an international team
