Business Development Analyst, BESS / Megapack

What to Expect As the Business Development Analyst in our Megapack sales team, you'll be our go-to expert for understanding energy markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa—turning data into clear insights.

You'll focus on Megapack, Tesla’s utility-scale battery energy storage system that helps grids store renewable energy, stabilize supply, and deliver power when it’s needed most. You'll drive our strategy across EMEA by forecasting markets, analyzing competitors, uncovering new opportunities, and staying ahead of industry trends.

What You'll Do* Track energy industry trends and build dashboards to share key insights with the team

• Create market forecasts to help sales prioritize the best opportunities across EMEA
• Partner with Global Business Development on competitive analysis and new market entry strategies
• Monitor competitor and project data
• Research new markets, applications, and business models
• Work with Product to ensure our offerings fit each market's needs
• Research wholesale markets and regulations

What You'll Bring* 3+ years of experience in European electricity or energy markets

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, or a related field — or equivalent experience
• Hands-on experience with Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end: collect data, analyze findings, and deliver recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience with energy storage modeling and/or AI/LLM tools is a plus
