Job description
The Attach & Train Programme is a structured talent development programme designed to build skilled talent for Singapore’s advanced biomedical manufacturing sector through practical, industry-based training that develops the technical skills and capabilities needed to support the industry’s current and future workforce needs.
As a QC Lab Trainee, you will work alongside experienced professionals during a 15-month structured training programme to support analytical and microbiological QC activities, including raw material, in-process, and API/BDS testing, as well as new product introduction, helping ensure the quality of medicines.
Due to the nature of the programme and its eligibility requirements, applicants must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
What You’ll Do

Team Support:
-
Support QC operations through timely conduct of test/review of routine testing and/or new product introduction activities.

Support QC inventory management of reagents and reference standards.

Develop technical competency and jointly create a great place to work in.

Compliance (Quality and Safety)
-
Build aspiration to become an SME in QC operational readiness (e.g., raw material, in-process, and API/BDS testing), infrastructure and instrumentation needs, and compliance readiness (e.g., Track & Trend), in accordance with cGMP, EHS, and regulatory expectations and global/site procedures.

Author lab documentation per cGMP or EHS expectations of the global/local site procedural needs.

Participate in resolution of manufacturing/laboratories investigation or exceptions for timely closure or issue resolution.

Participate in internal/external audits and enables audit response for a successful outcome in sustaining licenses to operate.

Infrastructure & Instrumentation

Supports QC function infrastructure/instrumentation needs through supporting Preventive Maintenance/Calibration or Technology refresh.

New Product Introduction, Projects & Continuous Improvement

Participate in Test Method Transfer, Equipment qualification.

Any other task/projects assigned by line manager.
What You’ll Learn

The opportunity to grow within AbbVie’s Quality Control team, gaining exposure to both API and biologics operations and seeing how the laboratory supports the quality of diverse medicines.

Hands-on experience in analytical and microbiological QC activities, including raw material and production sample testing, environmental monitoring, and new product introduction.

A strong foundation in cGMP and site standards, right-first-time laboratory practices, and contributing to a diverse, agile, and high-performing team.

Bachelors in Sciences (i.e. Biologicals, Biomedical, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical), Pharmacy, or Engineering (i.e. Biomedical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical), or equivalent. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply

Analytical thinking, problem-solving and technical writing skills.

Motivated and Independent.

Basic GMP knowledge/Experience in laboratory

Ability to work in dynamic, cross functional teams.
