Job description
Job Purpose: To manage and oversee daily airport operations across airside, landside, and terminal areas during assigned shifts. The Operations Duty Manager ensures safety, security, operational continuity, and high service standards, acting as the senior-most on-duty authority and escalation point for incidents, irregularities, or emergencies.
Responsibilities:* Supervise and coordinate terminal, landside, and airside operations during the shift.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety regulations, and service standards.
- Act as the senior on-duty contact point for all airport stakeholders.
- Respond to operational disruptions, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
- Conduct routine inspections of terminal areas, ramp, apron, and landside to identify issues or hazard.
- Coordinate resources and operational adjustments in case of flight delays, diversions, or cancellation.
- Monitor airport systems.
- Lead and document shift handovers, including key operational issues and decisions made.
- Maintain and submit detailed shift reports to senior management.
- Support and implement the airport’s safety and security management systems.
Requirements Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Airport Management, Aviation, or a related field.
- Diploma in Aviation Operations with extensive experience may be considered.
Certification Requirements: Airport Duty Management / Operations Certification.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in airport operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or duty management role.
Languages: Arabic (Fluent), English (Professional).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AODB, FIDS, RMS, and other airport operational systems.
- Knowledge of ICAO, IATA, and local regulatory (GACA or equivalent) standards.
- Strong understanding of airport procedures, emergency planning, and customer service.
- Familiarity with airside and terminal safety regulations.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, incident reporting tools).
