Air Tender Associate (JL3)

Location: Raunheim, Germany

Maersk is looking for an experienced Air Tender Associate to join our Air Freight team in Raunheim, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the tendering and pricing process for air freight opportunities, ensuring competitive, compliant, and customer-focused solutions that support business growth.

The successful candidate will work closely with Stations, Area teams, Country teams, Global Tender Management (GTM), carriers, and other key stakeholders to develop commercially attractive and operationally feasible air freight solutions.

As an Air Tender Associate, you will play a critical role in managing air freight tenders, coordinating pricing activities, and ensuring proposals are aligned with customer requirements, operational capabilities, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Tendering & Negotiations: Coordinate the tendering process for air freight shipments with Stations, Area, GTM and Countries including preparing and submitting tenders to airlines, logistics providers, and other third-party vendors. Negotiate terms and prices to ensure cost-effective solutions. 

Pricing and Cost Management: Analyze pricing and cost structures for air freight, and make recommendations for cost optimization  

Documentation and Compliance: Ensure that all required documentation for air cargo is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with all international air cargo regulations, including customs and safety standards. 

Customer Service: Provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, including clients and partners, regarding shipment status, pricing inquiries, and other related matters. 

Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze shipment data, identify trends, and provide regular reports on performance metrics, including cost, delivery time, and service quality in the RFQ Ratesheets 

Who We Are Looking For

Someone with:

3 to 5 years of experience in Air Freight Tendering, Pricing, Product Development, or Air Freight Operations.

Strong understanding of air freight products, pricing methodologies, and supply chain processes.

Experience managing RFQs, tenders, and customer pricing requests.

Knowledge of international freight forwarding and air cargo regulations.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, rate management, and reporting.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experience working with large datasets and pricing models.

Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

A customer-focused mindset with a commercial approach to problem-solving.
