Legal Entity Management Officer

We are searching for an experienced Legal Entity Management Officer at our MSC Geneva facility. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answering the Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBO) and “Know Your Customer” (KYC) requests received from obliged entities (notaries, law firms, insurance companies, tax advisors, company secretary, etc.), regarding the legal entities in the Group. Keeping track of them in the GST records.
  • Taking care of the mandatory UBO declarations with the national UBO register in each country, in a timeless and adequate manner (and of their updates, as the case may be). Streamlining the declaration process across the various sub-groups.
  • Keeping records of the type of declaration made to each local national UBO register, the specific process used in each country, and the contact details of the most efficient internal or external contacts used in each case (local lawyers, etc.);
  • Answering the UBO and/or KYC requests received from banks and/or financial institutions, regarding the legal entities in the Group.
  • Keeping track of them in the GST records.
  • Liaising with internal and external counterparts to ensure proper implementation and follow up of the current Corporate Finance and Group procedures.
  • Using the IT tools according to the defined rules, to keep accurate records of the Group shareholdings and the corporate data related to each legal entity. Ensuring accuracy and update of the data already uploaded or to be uploaded in the system. Tracking ownership, corporate data, etc. and maintaining effective records covering the entities of the Group.
  • Keeping up to date with any regulatory or statutory changes and policies that might affect the organization.

Required Qualifications

Judgement, particularly with a view to the handling of CONFIDENTIAL and highly sensitive information and documents, and always with a view to limiting the disclosure to a strict minimum on a need-to-know basis, even internally inside the MSC Group. Attention to detail, pragmatic, organized and meticulous.

Efficient Communication with all group divisions and external counterparties.
