Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Specialist to join our dynamic team in Bioggio, Switzerland. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software to the client.

Your key tasks

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications

  • Proactively propose and adopt best practices and methodologies for test, including harnessing AI

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects

  • Analyse test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders

  • Conduct performance testing and identify areas for optimization

  • Work closely with project manager, development teams and other stakeholders to manage risks and issues

  • Design, update and execute functional and business test scenarios and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their reusability

  • Support test environments issues to ensure testing can be completed on time (baseline definition and maintenance, assessment on environment readiness)

  • Document and evaluate the result of the testing, investigate testing deficiencies

  • Adhere closely to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts

  • Support and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Test Management processes and procedures

  • University degree in Computer Science, or similar

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience within the banking/financial services industry, especially in testing function

  • In-depth knowledge of Test concepts and methodology

  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English with an emphasis on client service and presentation

  • Must be an excellent team player and willing to share knowledge as well ad high level of stress management ability

  • Working knowledge of QC/ALM, JIRA, MS Office Suite

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving competences

  • Team player and strong client-orientation

  • Ability to work in a highly challenging, fast-paced and complex environment

  • Experience with Avaloq banking system solution is a bonus
