Designation :- Radiography Technician (Non-destructive Testing)

Reports to:- Operations Coordinator and Operations Lead

Job Objective:-

  • To support the operation department with a designated NDT scope of work as per the company's requirement
  • To maintain health and safety standards within the SSI HSEQ department

Key Responsibilities / Duties:-

  1. Follow approved NDT test methods, techniques, procedures, and work instructions as per project requirements and company policy.
  2. Carry out Radiography inspection as per client/code/standard/SSI Procedure
  3. Interpret Industrial codes, standards, and specifications. Documentation and reporting of the result in a proper manner with the company's reporting system. Documentation and reporting of the result in a proper manner with the company's reporting system.
  4. Follow the operation and job instructions as per practice
  5. Interpret the Radiography films after processing and reporting to operations.
  6. Carry out MT/PT/Hardness test as per the operations requirement when required, after necessary training.
  7. RPO certification will be an added advantage
  8. Document inspection results and prepare inspection reports
  9. Clean parts/materials prior to inspection and after completion
  10. Ensure good housekeeping in the immediate workplace and surrounding premises
  11. Always follow the safety and FANR rules during performing the jobs at the site

Specialized Knowledge:-

  • Experience with Radiography equipment

Ability & Skills:-

  • Good communication skills in English, written and verbal – Mandatory requirement

Experience:-

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification work experience as a Qualified and certified ASNT Level II NDT technician
  • Or Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Level 1

Academic Qualifications:-

  • Minimum Higher Secondary School
  • ASNT Level II Radiography experience certificate – Mandatory requirement
  • Or Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Level 1
