For the state-of-the-art Picnic distribution center in Utrecht, we are looking for an experienced Service & Maintenance Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the complete automated logistics operation.

From Picnic’s newest distribution center, groceries are processed and delivered weekly to more than 150,000 families.

This highly automated facility features:

✅ 42,000 m² distribution center

✅ 3 temperature-controlled zones

✅ Automated conveyor and transport systems

✅ Siemens controls and industrial networks

A challenging technical environment where no two days are the same.

🔧 Your Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical and software-related faults

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives

• Analyze recurring failures and identify root causes

• Maintain conveyors, shuttles, sensors, scanners and control systems

• Work closely with operators, engineers and maintenance colleagues

• Ensure maximum availability and performance of the logistics system

👨 🔧 What We Are Looking For

✔ MBO Level 3 or 4 diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar

✔ Experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting

✔ Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and control systems

✔ Experience with Siemens S7 / TIA Portal is highly preferred

✔ Familiarity with industrial communication systems such as Profinet and CAN-bus

✔ Good command of the English language

✔ Willingness to work in a 5-shift rotation

🕒 5-Shift Schedule

• 2 Morning Shifts | 06:00 – 14:30

• 2 Afternoon Shifts | 14:00 – 22:30

• 2 Night Shifts | 22:00 – 06:30

• Followed by 4 days off
