As a Senior System Application Engineer on our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team, you work hand-in-hand with our customers, enabling them to transform our products into cutting-edge designs, all while building long lasting partnerships that thrive on success.

Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Plan and execute regional technical Go-to-Market (G2M) activities for AI Data Center infrastructure applications in collaboration with the Application Manager, focusing on Solid-State Circuit Breakers (SSCB), Solid-State Transformers (SST), and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
  • Drive system-level solution selling by promoting Infineon’s cross-portfolio offering, including power semiconductors, gate drivers, protection, microcontrollers, sensors, connectivity, and security solutions, to maximize customer adoption
  • Collaborate across divisions and global teams to develop scalable reference architectures and ready-to-deploy solution bundles combining hardware, firmware, and development tools
  • Perform system-level simulation, validation, and analysis using tools such as SPICE, PLECS, and MATLAB/Simulink, as well as laboratory testing, to optimize performance, efficiency, thermal behavior, and reliability
  • Develop, evaluate, and troubleshoot proof-of-concepts, evaluation platforms, and demo boards and define test plans and document results to support customer engagement and knowledge sharing
  • Gather regional market requirements and customer feedback, translating insights into recommendations that influence product portfolio and roadmap decisions
  • Provide 2nd level technical support and enable regional growth through technical training, documentation, and hands-on workshops for customers, partners, and internal teams

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or similar
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience in semiconductor/system application engineering, power conversion, data center infrastructure or industrial power systems
  • Strong understanding of AI data center power architectures, including SSCB concepts, SST-based power conversion, UPS topologies, and their associated control strategies
  • Broad knowledge of semiconductor-based power systems, including power devices (Si, SiC, JFET, GaN), gate drivers, protection, isolation, sensing, and microcontroller technologies, as well as their system-level interactions
  • Hands-on experience in system modeling, simulation, laboratory validation, efficiency and thermal analysis, high-voltage testing, and the development and debugging of evaluation boards and reference designs
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into compelling system-level value propositions and effectively influence cross-functional teams across divisions
  • Willingness to travel within EMEA
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills. Additional German language skills would be a plus
