3D industrial design

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site 3D Industrial Design role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The 3D Industrial Designer will develop product concepts for leather and related materials, translate ideas into detailed 3D models, and refine designs from initial sketches through to production-ready specifications. Daily tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying design thinking to solve functional and aesthetic challenges, and creating prototypes to validate design intent. The role involves preparing technical drawings, renderings, and documentation for manufacturing partners, while ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and quality standards. The designer will also participate in design reviews, incorporate feedback efficiently, and support continuous improvement of existing product lines.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Industrial Design and Product Design, with experience developing physical products from concept to production.
• Candidates should possess skills in Concept Generation and Design Thinking to create user-centered, innovative solutions aligned with brand and manufacturing constraints.
• Candidates should possess Prototyping abilities, including building mockups, testing materials, and iterating designs based on functional and aesthetic feedback.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, or similar) and rendering tools for visual communication.
• Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, preferably with experience in leather goods or soft goods design.
• Strong visual and spatial communication skills, including sketching, storyboarding, and presenting design concepts to stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in Riyadh, collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple projects with attention to deadlines and detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; a portfolio showcasing relevant work is required.
