About us

The Cookie Dealer is a cookie and dessert concept, originally founded in Dublin and now operating in Dubai. Our flagship is at The Grand, Dubai Creek Harbour, and we are opening a new kiosk at Circle Mall in JVC this October.

We are looking for a Barista / Server to join the team at the new JVC kiosk from day one.

About the role

The JVC kiosk is a treats and desserts site. You will be serving cookies, ice cream and other sweet items, running the counter, and looking after every customer who stops by. There is no coffee offer at the kiosk itself.

Your induction and training will take place at our Dubai Creek Harbour branch before the kiosk opens, so you will learn the full product range and our service standards with the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers at the kiosk counter with genuine warmth and speed
• Prepare and present desserts, cookies and ice cream to brand standard
• Operate the POS, handle cash and card payments, and cash up accurately
• Keep the kiosk spotless and fully stocked throughout your shift, including opening and closing routines
• Follow all Dubai Municipality food safety, hygiene and temperature control requirements, and complete daily checklists
• Receive deliveries, rotate stock, monitor par levels and flag anything running low
• Know the product inside out so you can answer questions and upsell naturally
• Support the Creek Harbour branch with cover when needed
• Represent the brand properly in a busy mall environment, including peak evenings and weekends

Key requirements

• Currently based in the UAE
• Previous experience in food and beverage, retail or hospitality customer service
• Confident spoken English (additional languages are a plus)
• Comfortable working a mall shift pattern, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Able to stand for the length of a shift and work at pace during busy periods
• Reliable, punctual and able to run a small site independently once trained
• Basic food hygiene training certificate
• Well presented and comfortable dealing with the public face to face
