Company Overview:
We are in the process of becoming a CMA-licensed FinTech investment firm based in Riyadh, KSA, operating a modern retail equity trading platform that enables seamless access to investment opportunities.
As we build our asset management capabilities, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Asset Management Senior Manager to lead the development and management of investment products and portfolios, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the growth of the firm's asset management activities.
Role summary:
The Asset Management Senior Manager will be responsible for overseeing the firm's asset management activities, including investment strategy, portfolio management, investment product development, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and other internal functions to establish robust investment processes, develop suitable investment solutions for clients, and ensure that all asset management activities are conducted in accordance with CMA requirements and the firm's internal policies.
Key responsibilities:
- Asset Management & Investment Strategy: Develop and oversee investment strategies aligned with the firm's objectives, client needs, risk profiles, and regulatory requirements.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment selection, performance monitoring, and periodic portfolio reviews.
- Investment Products: Support the design, development, and ongoing management of investment products and portfolios, ensuring they meet client requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
- CMA & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure asset management activities comply with applicable CMA rules and regulations, including requirements relating to managing activities, investment products, client assets, disclosures, and conduct.
- Investment Risk Management: Establish and monitor appropriate investment risk parameters, limits, controls, and processes to ensure portfolios remain within approved mandates.
- Investment Research & Analysis: Monitor financial markets, economic developments, securities, and investment opportunities to support informed investment decisions.
- Performance & Reporting: Monitor portfolio and product performance and prepare regular investment reports and analysis for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
- Governance & Controls: Develop and maintain robust investment policies, procedures, controls, and documentation supporting the firm's asset management activities.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Work with internal teams and relevant stakeholders to understand investment objectives and ensure that investment solutions are aligned with client requirements.
- Third-Party & Partner Management: Manage relationships with external investment managers, custodians, brokers, data providers, and other relevant investment service providers.
- Team Leadership: Build, manage, and develop the asset management function as the business grows, ensuring high professional and regulatory standards.
- Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the asset management business by identifying opportunities for new investment products, strategies, and services.
Minimum qualifications and skills:
Mandatory CME qualifications:
- CME-1
- CME-4
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional qualification is preferred.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in asset management, portfolio management, investment management, wealth management, or a related field, preferably within a regulated financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of investment products, portfolio construction, asset allocation, financial markets, and investment risk management.
- Strong understanding of Saudi CMA regulations and requirements applicable to asset management and managing activities.
- Experience developing and managing investment products and portfolios.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to evaluate investment opportunities and portfolio performance.
- Experience working with custodians, brokers, investment managers, and other financial market service providers.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic is preferred.
- Strong understanding of risk, compliance, governance, and investment controls within a regulated financial environment.
- A pragmatic, commercially minded, and hands-on approach suited to a growing FinTech environment.
