College Intern – Manufacturing Process Engineer Description -

What a College Intern – Manufacturing Process Engineer d oes at HP:

• Gain hands- on exposure to final assembly manufacturing processes, Industry 4.0 solutions and technologies , and essential professional skills —including root cause analysis , Lean Six Sigma, data analysis, and executive presentations .
• Work alongside the Process Engineering team to ensure assembly processes meet quality and operational performance targets in inkjet printhead manufacturing .
• Contribute to technical investigations and failure analyses of process-related quality issues, helping the team identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners on Industry 4.0 and continuous improvement projects , developing innovative concepts that strengthen process capabilities and improve line productivity .

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical , Materials , E lectrical , or Industrial Engineering , or an equivalent discipline.
• Availability for a full-time internship beginning in January 2027 , with a commitment of at least five to six months.
• A foundational understanding of manufacturing processes and data analytics ; practical or academic experience is an advantage.
• The curiosity and agility to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated through university coursework, projects, or related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
• Basic programming experience in Python or a similar language .
• A growth mindset, collaborative approach, and enthusiasm for learning and contributing as part of a team.
