Job description

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you'll serve as the technical authority on-site, overseeing construction activities and ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on significant infrastructure and construction projects while working collaboratively with diverse teams in a dynamic environment.

  • Provide technical direction and supervision of field construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, plans, and contract requirements

  • Conduct daily site inspections and document construction progress, identifying and resolving issues proactively to maintain project momentum

  • Supervise and mentor construction teams and consultant staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and quality assurance logs

  • Manage and monitor project budgets and schedules, communicating status updates transparently to stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable construction codes, safety regulations, and local UAE requirements

  • Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, and clients to address concerns and facilitate seamless project execution

  • Perform quality control inspections and testing to verify that work meets established standards and specifications

  • Implement and enforce site safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility

  • Analyze construction challenges and develop innovative solutions that optimize project outcomes

  • Prepare detailed technical reports and recommendations for project management and client review

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projects

  • Experience with large-scale building construction projects

  • Familiarity with construction management software and digital documentation tools

  • Experience working on projects in the Middle East or similar international environments

  • Advanced skills in project scheduling, cost analysis, and quality management

  • Demonstrated experience in site safety management and risk mitigation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of innovative solutions

  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing stakeholder relationships
