Plumbing Foreman

Our sister company, Barbuda Electromechanical Works LLC, is looking for an experienced and competent Plumbing Foreman with strong experience in high-rise building projects in the UAE.

Job Summary

The Plumbing Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all plumbing and drainage installation activities at the project site. The candidate must ensure that all works are completed safely and efficiently in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and the construction programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of domestic water-supply, sanitary drainage, stormwater, sewage and pumping systems.
• Allocate daily work activities to plumbers and helpers and monitor their performance and productivity.
• Read and interpret approved plumbing drawings, layouts, schematics, riser diagrams and technical specifications.
• Ensure the correct installation of pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, tanks, sanitary fixtures and related equipment.
• Verify pipe routes, levels, slopes, supports, sleeves, openings and equipment locations before installation.
• Coordinate daily site activities with plumbing engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and other trades.
• Ensure all plumbing works comply with approved drawings, project specifications and UAE authority requirements.
• Monitor the manpower, materials, tools and equipment required for daily activities.
• Request materials in advance and ensure their proper use, handling and storage.
• Inspect completed works before raising inspection requests to the QA/QC team and consultant.
• Identify installation issues and report technical problems to the Plumbing Site Engineer.
• Coordinate plumbing works with mechanical, electrical, civil, structural and architectural activities.
• Prevent clashes, rework, material wastage and project delays through proper planning and coordination.
• Supervise pressure testing, leakage testing, gravity-flow testing, flushing and disinfection activities.
• Support the testing, commissioning and balancing of plumbing and pumping systems.
• Ensure the timely rectification of inspection comments, non-conformities and snagging items.
• Maintain daily records of manpower, completed quantities, material usage and site progress.
• Enforce approved method statements, risk assessments and safe working procedures.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers use the required personal protective equipment.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe access within plumbing work areas.
• Monitor the quality and performance of plumbers, helpers and subcontractor teams.
• Report daily progress, manpower productivity and site constraints to the Plumbing Site Engineer.
• Complete assigned plumbing works according to the approved programme and project deadlines.

Candidate Requirements

• ITI, Diploma or relevant technical qualification in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering.
• Six to ten years of relevant plumbing construction experience.
• Proven experience as a Plumbing Foreman on high-rise building projects.
• Strong UAE experience in high-rise building construction is required.
• Good knowledge of domestic water supply, sanitary drainage, stormwater, sewage and pumping systems.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings, riser diagrams and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing installation methods, tools, materials and safety requirements.
• Ability to lead plumbers, helpers and subcontractor teams effectively.
• Strong site coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to monitor manpower productivity, material usage and work quality.
• Good knowledge of plumbing testing and commissioning procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
