Job description
Infrastructure Engineer — Villa Development, Dubai
Role
Supervise the delivery of all site infrastructure and utility works for a villa development, ensuring construction complies with approved designs, project specifications, and Dubai authority requirements from setting-out through to testing, commissioning, and handover.
Site supervision and quality control
- Supervise all site infrastructure works, including internal roads, driveways, parking areas, pedestrian pathways, boundary works, and associated earthworks.
- Oversee construction of utility networks: potable water, irrigation, sewerage and drainage, stormwater management, electrical distribution, and telecom/data conduits.
- Conduct daily site inspections covering workmanship, materials, construction methods, and conformance to drawings and standards.
- Verify setting-out, levels, alignments, and dimensions before and during construction.
- Raise and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs) and site instructions, and respond to requests for information (RFIs).
Technical review
- Review contractor method statements, shop drawings, material submissions, and inspection and test plans (ITPs) against approved designs and project requirements.
- Check contractor progress claims, measured quantities, and as-built records for infrastructure works.
- Support preparation and review of as-built drawings and O&M documentation.
Coordination and progress
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and the structural, architectural, MEP, and landscaping teams to manage interfaces and resolve site clashes.
- Monitor progress against the approved programme; flag delays and constraints early with recommended corrective actions.
Authority liaison and approvals
- Liaise with utility providers and local authorities through connection, inspection, and handover stages.
- Prepare and review technical submissions and secure the necessary NOCs and approvals.
- Ensure all works comply with authority regulations, approved permits, and utility provider requirements.
Testing, commissioning, and handover
- Supervise testing and commissioning activities, including pressure testing, CCTV drainage surveys, electrical testing, and irrigation performance checks, and verify results against acceptance criteria.
HSE
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental requirements across all infrastructure activities, with particular attention to excavation safety, traffic management, temporary works, and environmental protection.
- Promote good site practice and support continuous improvement in quality, safety, and productivity.
Reporting
- Maintain site records, inspection reports, photographic evidence, and daily and weekly progress reports for the project team and client.
Required experience
Proven experience in the design, coordination, supervision, and execution of:
- Fire-fighting and fire protection systems
- LPG infrastructure and associated services
- Water supply networks and connections
- Drainage and sewerage systems
- Street lighting and associated electrical infrastructure
- Irrigation systems
- Landscaping and related infrastructure works
Authority knowledge
Working knowledge of Dubai authority requirements, standards, and approval procedures, including:
- RTA — Roads and Transport Authority
- DEWA — Dubai Electricity and Water Authority
- Etisalat / e& — telecommunications infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 7-10 years' experience in infrastructure supervision, including on villa or residential developments in the UAE
Pay: Up to AED14,000.00 per month
