Job description

Kitchen Operations Management

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations and ensure the delivery of high-quality food and a consistently excellent dining experience. The Head Chef is responsible for menu planning, food preparation, kitchen staff management, and inventory control, including maintaining and updating monthly inventory records using Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate all activities of kitchen staff.
  • Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Menu Development

  • Create and update menus in collaboration with the management team.
  • Monitor food trends and customer preferences to innovate dishes.

Inventory & Cost Control

  • Oversee ordering, receiving, and storing of all kitchen supplies.
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks and reconcile stock levels.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to track inventory, monitor usage, and control food costs.
  • Analyze data to minimize waste and optimize stock management.

Staff Management & Training

  • Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff.
  • Schedule staff shifts and delegate responsibilities efficiently.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to kitchen standards.
  • Quality Assurance
  • Ensure food presentation, taste, and quality consistently meet customer expectations.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve complaints related to food preparation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and health regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in tracking and analyzing monthly inventory.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,800.00 - $4,800.00 per month
