Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Plant, Maintenance & Automation Manager with strong precast concrete manufacturing experience to lead plant maintenance, equipment reliability, automation, and technical operations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, automation, batching, casting, curing, moulding, material-handling, and other precast production equipment. The role will focus on maximizing plant availability, minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and driving automation and continuous improvement. Preventive/predictive maintenance, spare-parts management, automation troubleshooting, and plant reliability are key requirements for similar manufacturing roles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all plant maintenance, engineering, automation, and technical activities.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
• Ensure maximum availability and reliability of precast production machinery and plant utilities.
• Manage maintenance of batching plants, concrete mixers, casting equipment, mould systems, curing systems, cranes, conveyors, compressors, pumps, generators, and material-handling equipment.
• Oversee electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, and automation systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, sensors, control panels, MCCs, motors, drives, and automated production systems.
• Identify recurring equipment failures and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate breakdowns.
• Monitor equipment downtime, MTBF, MTTR, availability, maintenance costs, and other maintenance KPIs.
• Coordinate closely with Production, QA/QC, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, and HSE teams.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is planned around production requirements to minimize disruption.
• Manage spare-parts planning, inventory, critical spares, and maintenance consumables.
• Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, contractors, and service providers for equipment repairs, upgrades, AMC, commissioning, and technical support.
• Lead installation, commissioning, modification, and upgrading of new plant machinery and automation systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant automation, productivity, energy efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.
• Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, CAPEX/OPEX requirements, and cost-control initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved safety procedures, HSE requirements, and UAE regulations.
• Maintain accurate equipment records, maintenance schedules, service reports, technical documentation, and asset history.
• Lead and develop a team of mechanical, electrical, automation, instrumentation, and maintenance technicians.
• Conduct regular inspections and condition assessments of critical plant assets.
• Support production teams during breakdowns and ensure rapid restoration of equipment.
• Implement CMMS/ERP-based maintenance systems and ensure timely closure of maintenance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the plant.

Precast Equipment Experience

The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of maintenance and automation systems used in precast manufacturing, including:

• Concrete batching and mixing plants
• Precast mould and casting systems
• Automated production lines
• Concrete distribution systems
• Cranes and lifting equipment
• Conveyors and material-handling systems
• Curing and steam systems
• Reinforcement processing equipment
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Compressors and pumps
• Electrical distribution systems
• PLC, SCADA, HMI and control systems
• VFDs, MCCs, motors and sensors
• Generators and plant utilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of professional experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong and proven precast concrete manufacturing experience is mandatory.
• Previous experience in a Plant Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Manager, Engineering Manager, Automation Manager, or similar senior position.
• Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Proven experience with industrial automation, PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Strong understanding of preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance.
• Experience managing maintenance teams in a large-scale manufacturing or precast facility.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, spare-parts management, budgeting, and cost control.
• Good understanding of HSE requirements and safe maintenance practices.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
• Knowledge of CMMS/ERP systems is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 10–15+ years of experience in precast manufacturing/plant maintenance.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with automated precast production plants.
• Proven track record of reducing equipment downtime and improving plant efficiency.
• Experience with plant commissioning, machinery upgrades, automation projects, and CAPEX projects will be an advantage.
• Candidates who can join immediately or within a short notice period will be preferred.

Compensation

Salary: AED 25,000 – AED 30,000 per month

Final package will be based on experience, technical expertise, and overall suitability for the position.

Pay: AED25,000.00 - AED30,000.00 per month
