We are seeking an experienced, proactive QA/QC Manager to lead, structure, and elevate our Quality Assurance and Quality Control function across all operational divisions.

Role Summary

The QA/QC Manager will establish, execute, and continually improve the QA/QC framework across the company’s manufacturing, fabrication, and installation lifecycles. Reporting directly to Executive Management, you will foster a culture of quality prevention over final inspection, holding full authority to enforce compliance, manage nonconformities, and align internal systems with ISO 9001 standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality System & Compliance: Develop, standardise, and continuously improve the company-wide Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Project Quality Planning: Review project specifications, customer requirements, and engineering packages to draft and approve detailed Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and hold points.
  • Material & Receiving Inspection: Establish receiving controls, material test certificate reviews, batch/heat traceability, and quarantine protocols for nonconforming raw materials.
  • In-Process & Final Inspection: Oversee systematically scheduled in-process and final product inspections. Maintain strict release authorization protocols before delivery, handover, or site installation.
  • Site & Installation Quality: Manage quality controls and defect rectifications for site installation projects, supporting client handovers and final sign-offs.
  • NCR & Corrective Action Management: Lead the Nonconformity Report (NCR) process, facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA), monitor corrective action effectiveness, and prevent defect recurrence.
  • Calibration & Metrology Control: Maintain the calibration register and oversee the upkeep, accuracy, and certification of all testing and measuring equipment.
  • Supplier & Subcontractor Quality: Collaborate with Procurement to evaluate supplier quality capabilities, track defect trends, and conduct vendor audits.
  • Audits & Reporting: Design and execute internal quality audit programs; support external and client audits; and report quality performance metrics (KPIs) to Management.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, develop, and assign duties to QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors across multiple production divisions.

Requirements & QualificationsEducation & Certifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related technical field).
  • Preferred: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor certification; professional certifications from ASQ, CQI/IRCA, or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of total experience in QA/QC functions.
  • Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role leading quality teams.
  • Hands-on background in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Solid experience across multi-materials or specialized trades (e.g., Composite/GRP, Aluminium, Joinery, Metal, Architectural fabrication, Interior Fit-out, Marine, Stone, or Construction).

Technical Competencies

  • Deep working knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems, and Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Advanced ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tolerances.
  • Proven track record in developing ITPs, managing calibration systems, and leading internal/external quality audits.

Core Strengths

  • Uncompromising integrity and technical independence when evaluating compliance.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset capable of balancing strict quality standards with practical manufacturing targets.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • First Pass Yield (FPY)
  • Internal & Customer Rejection Rates
  • NCR Closure Time & Repeat Defect Rate
