Your area of work:
As a Legal Operations & AI Enablement Specialist, you will be a key member of our legal department, focusing on operational excellence and digital transformation. You will contribute to Deutsche Börse Group's overall strategy by shaping the future of legal operations and AI adoption in the legal team. Working closely with our lawyers and leadership team, you will streamline external law firm management, support the senior team in preparing strategic meeting materials and help with administrative tasks, and in particular play a vital role in driving the adoption of AI tools and digital workflows in the legal department. This position is ideal for a candidate with a legal or compliance background (for example a B.A. in law / Wirtschaftsjurist) and a strong passion for legal technology and innovation.
Your responsibilities:
- You will support the legal department in managing relationships with external law firms, including onboarding, performance tracking, monitoring of fees, fee negotiations and checking compliance with procurement and contracting policies
- You will assist in coordinating panel reviews and engagement letters for external law firms and onboarding processes
- Your role includes the maintenance and development of dashboards and reporting tools for external counsel usage and spend as well as suggestions for optimization
- Further, you should be happy to contribute to meaningful KPIs for a legal department and help monitor workloads
- You are responsible for collecting and administering pre-read materials for leadership and team meetings, and for coordinating input from various internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of briefing documents
- You will support the General Counsel in managing calendar and other daily tasks
- A strong focus will be on researching and evaluating AI tools relevant to legal use cases, such as contract review, document automation, and legal research and knowledge management
- You will collaborate with IT and procurement to onboard and manage AI service providers, acting as a liaison between the legal department and tech vendors to ensure tools meet our legal and compliance standards
- In addition, you will provide training and support to our lawyers on AI tools and digital workflows
Your profile:
- You have successfully completed a degree in Business Law (e.g., Wirtschaftsjurist or B.A. law) or a comparable qualification
- You have at least two years of experience in legal operations, law firm management, or a related legal tech field
- You are interested in AI, legal innovation, and digital transformation
- You possess strong organizational and communication skills, and you are fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus
- Thanks to your cooperative manner, you will quickly find your way into the team
- You are proficient in MS Office applications and you know how to use common AI tools and build agents Why Deutsche Börse Group?
