Inspector (Architectural;/Fitout/ Finishes)

ARCHITECTURAL / FIT-OUT / FINISHES INSPECTOR

We are currently looking for an experienced Architectural / Fit-Out / Finishes Inspector to join our project team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, excellent site inspection and coordination skills, and solid experience in architectural works, fit-out, and finishing works. The candidate should be able to ensure that all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, materials, quality standards, and project requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in architectural inspection, fit-out, and finishing works, preferably on high-profile projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of architectural and interior fit-out works, including:
• Blockwork, plastering, and screeding
• Waterproofing and wet areas
• Flooring and wall finishes
• Tiling and stone works
• Painting and decorative finishes
• Gypsum partitions and ceilings
• Joinery and carpentry works
• Doors, ironmongery, and hardware
• Kitchen and bathroom finishes
• Façade and architectural elements
• Review and inspect materials, workmanship, and installations to ensure compliance with approved shop drawings, specifications, material submittals, and method statements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and issue Site Observation Reports, Inspection Requests (IRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and related quality documentation as required.
• Monitor the quality and progress of architectural and fit-out works and identify defects, discrepancies, and non-compliant works.
• Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
• Review and comment on shop drawings, material samples, mock-ups, and technical submissions related to architectural and finishing works.
• Coordinate effectively with the contractor, subcontractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve site issues and technical conflicts.
• Monitor approved mock-ups and ensure final works comply with the approved samples and standards.
• Strong understanding of UAE construction practices, materials, and finishing standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, details, specifications, and construction documents.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent inspection, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify potential quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure proper coordination of architectural finishes with MEP and other disciplines.
• Proactive, responsible, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Ability to maintain accurate inspection records and follow up on outstanding quality issues.
• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
