Exploratory Research Specialist (m|f|d) – Cell & Gene Therapy

As an Exploratory Research Specialist within the Pharmaceutical Development department, you are engaged in the development, optimization and transfer of characterization and functional assays for Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). Your work ensures smooth method implementation within the organization and you thereby contribute to the robust and comprehensive characterization of innovative cell therapy products.

• Cell Characterization of CAR T Manufacturing – Perform flow-based assays for the characterization and functionality of patient-derived immune cells, including data analysis and documentation.

• Assay Development & Qualification – Develop, optimize, and qualify flow-based and functional assays for cell therapy products.

• Method Implementation incl. Transfers – Implement new analytical methods and support method transfer activities to internal and external Quality Control organizations including troubleshooting, ensuring efficient and successful implementation.

• Comparability Studies – Execute analytical measurements for comparability studies supporting analytical or process changes.

• Documentation – Prepare and maintain assay development records, SOPs, qualification protocols, and method transfer documentation.

Your Profile

• Completed education as BTA, MTA, CTA, PTA or a completed B.Sc. degree in a life‑science discipline.

• Solid scientific knowledge in cell biology and molecular biology, ideally complemented by initial experience in practical flow cytometry–based analytics.

• Strong interest in innovative analytical methods and enthusiasm for contributing to projects within a highly motivated, interdisciplinary, and collaborative team.

• Very accurate, independent, and structured working style, combined with a proactive and communicative approach.

• Good English skills, both written and spoken.
