Director of Sales and Marketing - Hospitality and hotel

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and strategic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our commercial efforts and drive revenue growth across all market segments. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, maximizing hotel profitability, strengthening brand positioning, and leading a high-performing sales team.

As a key member of the Executive Committee, the Director of Sales & Marketing will play a pivotal role in achieving business objectives while delivering exceptional guest experiences in line with Movenpick and Accor standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share objectives.

• Lead and manage all sales activities across corporate, leisure, MICE, government, and wholesale segments.

• Identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with key clients, travel agencies, and corporate partners.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to ensure a competitive positioning.

• Drive room revenue, banquet sales, catering business, and ancillary revenue streams.

Marketing & Brand Management

• Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with the hotel's business objectives.

• Oversee digital marketing, social media, public relations, advertising, and promotional campaigns.

• Ensure brand standards and guidelines are maintained across all marketing communications.

• Collaborate with Accor regional teams on brand initiatives and loyalty program promotions.

• Enhance the hotel's visibility and reputation within the local and international markets.

Revenue & Commercial Strategy

• Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing strategies and maximize hotel profitability.

• Analyze business performance indicators, forecast trends, and prepare strategic action plans.

• Participate in budget preparation and manage departmental expenses effectively.

• Monitor and evaluate sales performance through regular reporting and market analysis.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop the Sales & Marketing team to achieve individual and departmental goals.

• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and guest-centric service.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.

• Promote collaboration with all hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

• Strong knowledge & network of the Saudi market especially eastern region “ Al-Khobar” .

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience within the hospitality industry.

• At least 3-5 years in a leadership role as Director of Sales, Director of Sales & Marketing, or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of hotel revenue management, market segmentation, and distribution channels.

• Experience with luxury, upscale, or international hotel brands.

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, networking, and relationship management skills.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and hotel sales platforms.

• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English; additional languages are an advantage.
