JOB OVERVIEW 

The Host/Hostess is responsible for warmly welcoming and seating guests at FAENA dining outlets, ensuring a smooth and elegant arrival experience. The role manages reservations, coordinates table allocation, and sets the tone for exceptional guest service in line with the resort’s luxury hospitality standards. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression. 

Manage guest reservations, waitlists, and table assignments efficiently and accurately. 

Escort guests to tables and present menus while ensuring a seamless seating experience. 

Coordinate table flow with service and kitchen teams to optimize seating capacity and service efficiency. 

Monitor dining area readiness, cleanliness, and ambiance before and during service. 

Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and seating preferences professionally. 

Communicate effectively with F&B service staff regarding table status and guest needs. 

Assist in managing peak-time seating to minimize wait times and ensure guest satisfaction. 

Maintain accurate reservation records using the restaurant management system. 

Support VIP guest recognition and ensure personalized service standards are upheld. 

Handle guest complaints or concerns calmly and escalate when necessary. 

Ensure compliance with service standards, grooming, and presentation guidelines. 

Coordinate with restaurant supervisors and managers to ensure smooth operations. 

Assist in promoting restaurant offerings, events, and special experiences when required.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED 

High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality training is an advantage. 

1–2 years of experience in guest service, front desk, or F&B hosting role preferred. 

Basic understanding of restaurant operations and guest flow management. 

Familiarity with reservation systems or POS/booking platforms is an advantage. 

Fluency in English required; additional languages are an advantage.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills. 

Ability to manage high guest volumes in a fast-paced environment. 

Good problem-solving skills and calm handling of guest concerns. 

Strong attention to detail and presentation standards. 

Team-oriented with ability to coordinate across service teams. 

Basic computer literacy and system handling skills. 

Ability to remain composed under pressure during peak service times. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas 

Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces 

Remain active, constantly moving, or prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer throughout work shift 

Medium Work: Exerting up to 20kg of force occasionally, and/or 10kg of force frequently, and/or up to 5kg of constantly moving objects, may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15kg
