Role Description The Design Engineer (MEP) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Abu Dhabi. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing and developing MEP systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing design drawings and specifications, coordinating with project managers and site teams, conducting technical calculations, and integrating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into cohesive project designs. The role will also involve using CAD tools to create detailed layouts, participating in design reviews, resolving technical issues, and providing support during installation and commissioning phases. Collaboration with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders is essential to ensure that solutions are efficient, safe, and cost-effective.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills, with experience in MEP design for commercial projects.
• Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise relevant to HVAC, water supply, drainage, and other mechanical building services.
• Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for preparing, modifying, and reviewing technical drawings and layouts.
• Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-current systems
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline; MEP specialization is an advantage.
• Experience in building services design within the UAE or Abu Dhabi region, with familiarity in local codes and international standards.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP or similar) and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and work on-site as needed.
• Extensive knowledge in local standards such as Taqa, ADCD, ADM, etc..
